This is the result of a course I took at Udemy.com for PSD to WordPress taught by Juan Pablo De la Torre from http://easy-webdev.com. The original framework for this course was to take Photoshop renderings of a potential website and turn that website into digital reality. There are two more practice sites coming from this course as I stay on top of my skillset as a WordPress developer. this site can be seen at https://michaelneely.net/torontoonline.
This is a WordPress site I customized in tandem with the owner using the Anona – Pest Control WordPress Theme from Theme Forest. This theme features Slider Revolution, Visual Composer, and Beaver Builder. I also customized this theme to the client’s specifications and I am still available to the client for website maintenance and improvements. I also handled the graphic design required by the owner, including logo design. This site can be viewed at http://WildlifeRemovalSpecialist.org.
This is a WordPress website that I developed for my client who is starting her own non-profit supporting homeless veterans, women who grew up in foster homes, and women serving our country. We chose the Charity: Nonprofit/NGO/Fundraising WordPress Theme from ThemeForest. The theme worked with some premium tools such as Slider Revolution, Visual Composer, and an EasyPay payment gateway developed by the theme developers. There is also a lot of customization written in HTML, CSS, and PHP on my part, including building two custom page templates allowing for a right sidebar. I also handled all of the graphic design for the site also, with the exception of the logo. I reconfigured the logo, but I did not design this one. The site is visible at UBCnow.org.
The pastor and staff wanted to bring more attention to their preschool and make the website more accessible than the main church website. I coded this WordPress theme from the first PHP block, all of the HTML, to the last CSS styling. I also did all of the graphic design work. This is a more simple theme, opting for a “less-is-more approach.” This site is online at http://HCCACademy.org.
I was the third-party designer on this site. A client of mine came to me with this project. One of his clients wanted to recreate a site they used to own in a Joomla framework, but built in WordPress. the theme is the Honma Theme from PWT Themes. They wanted a simplified version of the theme with a custom-designed home page. After creating a new homepage template and coding it, I then coded the customizations into the theme. I also handled the graphic design work on this site too.
